Performs this December, 2025!
Casting Breakdown
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, a Full Length Play.
From the story written by C. S. Lewis. Dramatized by Joseph Robinette
Auditions:
Sunday, July 27th 5pm-9pm
Callbacks: Tuesday July 29th (Times TBD)
Auditions will take place at the Carolina Theatre Company, 217 South White Street, Wake Forest, 27587. Performances to be held at the Renaissance Center, Wake Forest.
Rehearsals begin November 17th for approx. 4 weeks. Performs Dec 19th-21st. 1 show Friday night, 2 shows Saturday & Sunday. 5 shows total.
Directed by Zachary Roberts.
Adult Actors will receive a Stipend.
Please come to auditions in clothes fit for movement & familiar with the side you prefer. You may be asked to read a different side. LINK to SIDES below.
In-person auditions are strongly preferred, but video submissions will also be accepted. Please send a video submissions consisting of the audition side (SEE LINKS BELOW) of your character of choice. Please send this to play@fireboxtheatre.com with a sharable link so that all production team members may view.
All actors auditioning in-person must sign up for a time slot, see below.
For auditions, we do not require a hard copy headshot, but please email a copy of your headshot & resume (files labeled with your name) to play@fireboxtheatre.com after you have signed up. Please do not sign up for an audition slot unless you plan to attend. We understand that emergencies arise, but otherwise, please keep your appointments.
Characters are open to all ethnicities. Ages listed are playable age.
Casting for these roles will be ongoing until they are filled. All actors auditioning will be contacted if cast or when casting is complete.
Casting for the following roles:
ASLAN- M, 30-65. A lion. Radiates great strength and command. Noble and dignified, yet humble and sensitive to the needs of his people. A great warrior.
FENRIS ULF- M/F, 25-50. A wolf, head of the Witch’s secret police. Mean as a snake, sneaky as a cat.
DWARF/ELF- M/F, 12+. Will double as a servant to the witch/ Father Christmas’ helper.
WHITE STAG- F/M, 18-35 Dancer/Mover. An elusive, ubiquitous omen of good fortune. Must be highly schooled at dance and movement.
EDMUND- M, 17-28, Susceptible to the Witch’s charms (and sweets). Believes he knows better than his brother and sisters. Skill with a Standard British accent.
SUSAN- F, 17-28, The sensible sibling. Boys refer to her as 'mother.' Very protective, yet not afraid to fight for those she cares about. Skill with a Standard British accent.
